NEW WORLD TECHNOLOGY
Increasingly sophisticated computing equipment and software is totally dependent on the integrity and reliability of the cabling system.
Modern buildings require an effective telecommunications infrastructure to support the wide variety of services that rely on the electronic transportation of information. This infrastructure can be thought of as the collection of the following components: Cable Pathways, Grounding, Wiring and Termination Hardware that supports the distribution of all information within a Local Area Network (LAN).
A structured cabling system for supporting data traffic utilizes a 568B-wiring scheme defined under the Telecommunications Standards 568A. The industry standard for connectivity is Category 5, 4 pair cable with transmission characteristics that are specified up to 100 Megahertz. This is typically used for data transmission rates up to 100Mbps. Mbps = Megabits (millions of bits) per second. Our preferred media used for connectivity is Enhanced Category 5, 4 pair cable that exceeds industry standards for data traffic. Transmission characteristics are specified up to 350 Megahertz.
STRUCTURED CABLING APPLICATIONS
A structured cabling system for supporting voice traffic utilizes a Uniform Service Order Code (USOC) wiring scheme. Our preferred media used for connectivity is Category 3, 4 pair cable that exceeds industry standards for the voice traffic. Transmission characteristics are specified up to 16 Megahertz.
